Poupoupidou - Nobody Else But You.

Last night, I watched Poupoupido or, the english title, Nobody Else But You. I had missed it at the French Film Festival, so I was delighted to be able to catch it on the World Movies Channel. Just the right mix of humour, crime/ thriller/ suspense and the mood and reality that all french films seem to have. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do!

The ambiguous suicide of a local beauty, weathergirl, cheese model, and Marilyn Monroe look-a-like finds an eager sleuth in David Rousseau, best-selling crime novelist. When Rousseau visits a remote Alps village for the reading of his friend's will he unwittingly, but irresistibly, gets caught in the tangled web of murder and small town politics in this off-beat mystery.
