I used to make these sorts of flowers crowns and garlands all the time when I was little. Sadly I had forgotten about them, but now I'll probably be living in them!
Being of the generation that is obsessed with twilight and Harry Potter, I got a good laugh out of this!
You're lucky I'm posting, ( sarcastic!) I will be MIA for the next week or so because I have exams, but while waiting with baited breath for the kettle to boil, I want an email to come through. That's why I'm posting.
I love balloons, I hope to do this one day. It would be so much fun!
Oh my gosh, these shoes are really sexy - I want a pair. P.S. You have nice calves, whoever you are!
I just love this picture for some reason. It's probably the colour!
This reminds me of Where the Wild things are, what does it remind you of?
I was at a meeting, and it not being my meeting, it was a) boring, and b) a room full of lawyers. While I was staring off into the oblivion, trying to sort out what I was going to do when I finally got home, I witnessed a spectacular spectacle!
In the last row of seats to the left, there were four young guys, all dressed in full suits, good looking and all law students. (the good looking and law students part isn't necessary for the story, but I thought that I would let you in on the juicy gossip anyway!)
A while after I spied the suited-up gentlemen, four slightly older women walked in the door. Being there no more chairs available, as soon as the women came into sight, the four men stood up simultaneously and offered the ladies their seats. They stood at the back of the room for the remainder of the 30 minutes.
All I can say is, that my hope in my generation of men who will eventually wear suits has been restored.
Just another reason for me to love men in suits. Like I need it.
Oh, and just a little teaser for what's to come, (yes, it is about a man in a suit!)
My mum is always giving me great advice, through stories, words and the occasional knowledge bomb. Then, sometimes, it comes in pictures. Like this. Thanks mum.
I am currently doing the assignment that I was talking about yesterday, remember, I talked about how I keep procrastinating? Well, in the process of that today, I found this nifty definition on Wikipedia, seriously, did I write this in my sleep??!?
In psychology, procrastination refers to the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of low-priority, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time... ...Procrastination may result in stress, a sense of guilt and crisis, severe loss of personal productivity...
I love looking in my mum's files on her computer. She has 25, 30 or
so that permanently sit on her desktop. As she finds things that she
likes or thinks that somebody in our family will like, she drags it off
and saves it in the files. Sometimes she prints it for us and sticks it
on our bedroom door, sometimes it's an email or even just a "come look at this.".
No
matter how many times I see her collection of beautiful images, I still
manged to be amazed. Actually, lots of these images on this blog come
from her files.
So, I thought that I would share some that I found while I was perusing one of my favourite files.
It's Saturday night, I have buckets of homework (including preparing for
exams next week) , a meeting tomorrow, two essays on Monday, a random
assignment that I don't know what to do about, outside, the sky is
darkening and preparing for night, I am about to go out for dinner with
my family and yet, I find the need to procrastinate even more.
Isn't the Young Robert Redford a hunk?!
I wish I could make this, it's so colourful and cute, it would look great on a chair... or my bed.
I love globes, colourful things and crayola crayons, what else could I ask for?
At the moment, sometimes I just wish that I could go back to the simplicity of the days when I was really young; I didn't know where all the continents where, drawing, cutting and pasting filled my time and I didn't have a care in the world. Except when I ran out of glue.
I have an obsession with suits and I am convinced that I will end up with a guy who wears a suit. Although, if everything goes to plan, according to my mum, (joking), I will marry a guy named Wendell Theodore Waxman. So, in the end, who knows??
I recently watched the movie I am Sam, had a good cry, and feel like watching it again. Which, in hindsight, has probably caused my current state of Beatlemania.
I hope the following ignites you inner Beatlemaniac too!
