There was some interesting artwork on the wall behind this person being interviewed in a video I watched on youtube about cohousing. The title of the video can be seen in one of the images.

Arnolfini Portrait

I really enjoyed watching the BBC series "A Stitch In Time" episode 2, on the Arnolfini Portrait.

A fascinating portrait. I wanted to note (to myself) that I loved the idea of beads hanging on the wall... I might adapt that for myself. That was really the whole point of this post, beads. Yeah. Intellectual, right!?!?

I found a post on Trendland that was 9 years old (wow!) and talked about the knitted art of the titular artist. Here are some of the pictures for inspiration.

Paint then Stitch

I like this idea of stitching/ embroidering over a fabric that you have hand painted.
Using different techniques, as well as materials - beads, tapestry thread, embroidery floss etc.
I think one of the artists behind some of these photos is Liz Payne.
this could also be inspiration for some of those embroidered hearts I was planning on doing!

Ron Mueck @ NGV

Cool installations found via instagram led me to Ron Mueck's skull exhibition at the NGV.

Broad City Titles

I wasn't enamoured of Broad City after watching the first episode, but because a friend of mine was so partial to it, I gave it another try. Episodes 2 & 3 sealed the deal. Abbi and Ilana are hilarious, and I'm sucked in.
