Sarah Applebaum

I found a post on Trendland that was 9 years old (wow!) and talked about the knitted art of the titular artist. Here are some of the pictures for inspiration.
Love the colour, and, of course, the textile arts!!!

That's the source of the first 5 pictures:

Then the rest are sourced from elsewhere:

These 3 from blog << Subtlety in excess >>

Liz Payne

Loving the studio, supplies and work of Liz Payne. All photos sourced from her instagram @lizpayne

Paint then Stitch

I like this idea of stitching/ embroidering over a fabric that you have hand painted.
Using different techniques, as well as materials - beads, tapestry thread, embroidery floss etc.
I think one of the artists behind some of these photos is Liz Payne.
this could also be inspiration for some of those embroidered hearts I was planning on doing!

Musical Similarities: Unexpected

Just the very beginning few seconds (seriously, like 3 seconds) of Liszt's Etudes d'exécution transcendante S139 no 1 (Prélude) rings of I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.

Thanks to the one who noticed it, you know who you are... 😅😂😜 a musical savant!

Viktor and Rolf Patchwork Play

Loving the patchwork inspiration in Viktor and Rolf's Fall 2017 line... A little bit of inspiration as to how I could incorporate such into making my own bespoke clothes.
Perhaps make an english paper pieced fabric to create a blouse out of it.
Use denim reconstructed hexies to create a blouse or skirt.
Use a photo of a quilt pattern printed onto fabric to create an item. Just to find the right quilt - I like the idea of vintage quilts.
